Youth Services

If you’re just beginning to dream of a bright future, the road ahead can seem tough. Where do you start? Where do you go to get help? How do you make decisions that are the right for you?

Heartland Workforce Solutions offers programs that can help you determine the educational and/or employment goals that can make your dreams a reality.

Think those dreams are on hold because of certain roadblocks—low income family, homeless, runaway, or foster child, school drop out, pregnant or parenting, need basic literacy skills, disability or an offender— then check out the Partnership for Youth Development and The Job Corps.

Partnership for Youth Development can help you realize your education and training goals, identify a career path, sharpen your job skills and attain a satisfying career. They’ll assist you with:

  • One on one personalized attention
  • Help with educational or vocational placement
  • Career exploration and job readiness training
  • Leadership opportunities
  • Assistance with tuition and supplies
  • Supportive services and incentives

The Job Corps is a free education and training program that’s a lot like going away to college, to learn job skills colleges don’t offer. If you don’t have one, the Job Corps will help you earn your high school diploma. Then you can choose from a variety of career possibilities:

  • Finance and Business
  • Construction
  • Health Care
  • Hospitality
  • Automotive and Machine Repair
  • Health Care
  • Information Technology
  • Retail Sales and Services
  • And more

The Job Corp and Partnership for Youth are offered to you FREE if you are an eligible resident of Douglas, Sarpy or Washington counties. Prepare for a career, find and keep a good job and succeed in life.
